New Wizard Wink Camera

We are pleased to announce that Wizard have now introduced their Wink Camera into the UK & Ireland market.

The Wink camera is designed for use with their IF Visualisation software, and integrates seamlessly with the software offering a simple solution for previewing customers artwork mounted and framed. The IFV software allows you to show your customer what their artwork will look like as a finished item instantly, allowing you to sell more and sell faster!

Set up time is minimal as frames and mouldings can be selected from the image you have just taken, there is no need to have a database of items already stored. Based on the Wizard Mat Designer software you can show any opening shape from the template library, and multi opening designs can be created quickly using the intuitive layout tools.

The 5 megapixel camera operation is completely software controlled for ease of use, and no external power supply is required as it operates from a USB connection. There is a built in IR filter to enhance natural light, and the quality camera optics provide a field of view upto 81 x 102cm.

We can supply either a bench mounting kit for the camera, or a ceiling mounting kit allowing you to be ready for any customers that may walk in your shop.

Announcement

It is with great sadness we must announce the sudden and unexpected death of our Managing Director and company founder Alistair Cook.

As a mark of respect and to allow our staff to attend the funeral we will be closed for one day on Tuesday 4th October 2011. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes and ask for your understanding during this difficult time.

Those who knew Alistair will remember him as a charming man, always active who filled his leisure time with hobbies and was also a proud member of the Loughborough Rotary Club.

He will be missed by us all.

Mountcutter Training Day

The Wizard mount cutter training day was a great success with nearly 30 people attending the morning and afternoon sessions on the 18th of July. The topics covered ranged from an introduction to the new/updated Mat Designer software, with the much improved and user friendly calibration screen. Through to various techniques which demonstrated the flexibility and time saving features of Path Trace.

The attendees at both sessions enjoyed learning new techniques around customizing cut art, letter art and templates allowing them to make more productive use of their Wizard mount cutters.

All in all a thoroughly enjoyable day, and many thanks to all who attended, see you all at the next training day.

Mark from Moonsdrift said afterwards 'I would just like to say thank you for the Wizard training today, reading the manuals is no substitute for watching a live demonstration.'

The training sessions are free to attend and are open to all Wizard users, even if they haven't originally bought the machine from ourselves. Mark from Art Of Framing recently acquired a Wizard with a business he bought so had not received any formal training with the machine, he said 'Thank you for the training yesterday. I am really glad I attended as there were quite a few things that I didn't realise the machine could do!'
